Infant Teacher:

Samantha Sewall

Personal Background: I have an AAS degree from Spokane Falls Community College and I am pursuing my CDA.  I have two years experience working with Infants and Toddlers at another Child Development Center and I am very excited for my third year of teaching here at North Wall.  I have been a foster parent for the past 3 years and I also enjoy serving in the nursery at my church.

Philosophy of Teaching: I will show respect, dignity and appreciation for the uniqueness of each child.  I will respect the family and culture that each child is blessed with.  I will provide an environment that fosters children’s social, emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual development.

Goals for the Class:

•   To provide a safe, warm, inviting environment that fosters the development of the whole child.
•   Work with as a team with each child’s family and encourage continued learning at home.
•   To show each child that they are loved, respected, special and very important!

• This class schedule is a framework for our day and is always flexible to accommodate the schedule and needs of the children

7:30 -8:30		Arrival Time and Breakfast
8:30 - 9:00		Free Exploration
9:00 - 10:30		Lap Time and Learning Centers (Language/Literacy, Cognitive, Creative Expression, Social/Emotional and Physical)
10:30-11:00		Outdoor Time
11:00 - 12:30		Lunch
12:30 - 2:30		Nap Time
2:30-3:00		Outdoor Time
3:00 - 4:00		Lap Time and Learning Centers (Language/Literacy, Cognitive, Creative Expression, Social/Emotional and Physical)
4:00 - 5:30		Free Exploration
