Multi-Age Preschool

Teacher:  Nicole Greer

Personal Background: I was born and raised in Spokane, WA. I graduated from North Central High School in 2001 and Whitworth College in 2005. I have substituted for Spokane Public Schools, coached Track and Field, and directed the youth program at my church. I am currently working on my Master's in Elementary Education at Whitworth University. My husband Sammy and I were married on May 12, 2007 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, and we are expecting our first child in February! I love playing with our dog, Elvis, spending time with my large family and enjoy getting together with friends and having a BBQ on our backyard deck.

Philosophy of Teaching: I see each child as a unique individual and I believe in catering to every child's specific needs in order to stimulate and encourage healthy growth. My teaching style and classroom are both designed to make each child feel loved, special, and important. I demonstrate these values to the children by communicating respectfully with each child and caring for them in a positive and loving manner. My lesson plans include methods and materials which stimulate different areas of the brain as well as accommodate multiple learning styles.

Goals for the Class: The Multi-age preschool will be an environment that is safe and secure. It will provide developmentally appropriate learning activities that will facilitate growth cognitively, socially, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Each child will be valued, appreciated, and celebrated. Hands-on learning and an environment in which children learn from both the teachers and one another will be encouraged.
