Personal Background: 
While working on my AAS Degree at SFCC in Early Childhood Education, I did an internship in the Toddler Class at SFCC.  I enjoyed it so much that after I graduated I worked at the Spokane Montessori Schools-Toddler House for three years.  I also worked at Charis Montessori in the Toddler Class for two years, and I have taught here at North Wall for four years.

 

Personal Teaching Philosophy:
I will show respect, dignity and appreciation for the uniqueness of each child. I will respect the family and culture that each child is blessed with. I will provide appropriate activities and create and maintain a safe and healthy environment that fosters children’s social, emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual development.

Goals for the Classroom:

• Develop self- awareness
• Develop independence
• Have a safe, secure, stimulating environment
• To plan purposeful activities that allows children to explore through sensory, physical, emotional, and cognitive domains.
• To work as a team with families to support each student

7:30 -8:30		Arrival Time and Socialize with Peers
8:30-9:00		Diapers
9:00-9:30		Morning Snack
9:30-10:30		Circle, Songs, and Morning Learning Centers (Language/Literacy, Cognitive, Creative Expression, Social/Emotional and Physical)
10:30-11:00		Outdoor Time
11:00-11:30		Diapers/Lunch
11:30-2:30		Naptime (Quiet activities for those awake)
2:30-3:00		Diapers and Afternoon Snack
3:00-4:00		Circle, Songs, and Afternoon Learning Centers (Language/Literacy, Cognitive, Creative Expression, Social/Emotional and Physical)
4:00-4:30		Outdoor Time
4:30-5:00		Diapers and Late Afternoon Snack
5:00-5:30		Free Exploration

• Diapers are checked hourly
• This class schedule is a framework for our day and is always flexible to accommodate the schedule and needs of the children
  
  *Must get Director’s approval to change times
  **Eating times (Snack/Lunch) must be 2-3 hours apart
