CREATIVE EXPRESSION

We offer creative activities that include painting, dancing, playing musical instruments, and manipulating play dough and various mediums.

COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT

Children have rich opportunities to observe, recall, compare, classify, integrateII_A_3_-_Pic_2_Curr_I_T_2-_Eli_bell.jpg and evaluate elements of their world.  They engage daily in activities such as solving puzzles, exploring the senses, matching colors and shapes, ordering objects, and experimenting with physical relationships.

LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT

Infants and toddlers are encourages to experiment with language; they represent their thoughts and feelings primarily through verbal language.  Teachers also provide opportunities to recognize and experiment with print through a wide variety of books, labels, and art in the classroom.

PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT

Children are given opportunities to walk on balance beams, run, jump, and hop to build strength, agility, balance, and coordination.  We also offer fine motor activities such as grasping crayons, using scissors, and manipulating small objects.   We teach self-help skills including taking care of our own bodies and possessions and practicing good hygiene and nutrition habits. 

SOCIAL & EMOTIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The children develop close bonds with their teachers and friends through many warm individual interactions and build a positive sense of self through activities such as dress-up, dramatic play, and interactive dances and songs.
