North Wall encourages family and community involvement in the school. This includes volunteering in the classroom on a regular basis or coming in just once to share a special talent or interest with students. If you have connections in the community, it would be great to have resources to share with the classes. You might also consider serving on the Parent Advisory Board and planning parties and events for the classroom or serving on the North Wall Children’s Association Board which sponsors several service projects and several fundraisers each year.
Community involvement includes welcoming specialists from the community who visit our classrooms to give guest presentations that enhance learning about topics which the students are studying. We also sponsor various community programs around the holidays including CAPPA, Women and Children’s Free Restaurant, Spokane Humane Society and Embrace Washington.
North Wall Children’s Association (NWCA)Board Members 2025-2026
The NWCA is a non-profit organization formed in 1982 by a group of parents dedicated to helping create the best learning experience possible for their children, both in and out of the classroom. Over the years our fundraisers have helped in the expansion of classroom technology, learning manipulatives, classroom libraries, as well as new playground equipment, and purchased improvements for our beautiful nature trail, just to name a few! We also sponsor fun and educational events for parents, students and teachers to build friendships and foster a sense of community within North Wall Schools. Every North Wall family is welcome to join the NWCA, attend our meetings, and volunteer!

Parent Advisory Board
The Parent Advisory Board is made up of parent volunteers representing each classroom. These volunteers work closely with the teachers to plan both the Harvest and Easter celebrations. They also work with the NWCA to plan Teacher Appreciation Week and can volunteer to plan the various events the NWCA sponsors.
