Campus

Located at 9408 North Wall Street on a scenic 2 1/2 acres of land in the northern part of Spokane, Washington, the Elementary School & Child Development Center share the same campus which is divided into 6 different outdoor areas appropriate for each age level.

Transitional Kindergarten-6th Grade:

The spacious 2 story tree fort dominating the Nature Trail is a favorite student hangout. Children also enjoy riding down on the zipline, tending to the organic garden, wandering in the Whimsical Woods, swinging across the monkey bars, playing basketball or 4-square under the sails in summer, or creating obstacles courses to test new abilities.

Preschool:

Thanks to the North Wall Children’s Association, our preschool playground received a new climbing and slide structure for the children to use. Gross motor skills are growing rapidly as the preschoolers swing to new heights, bike around the track and explore in the rock garden.

AM Preschool & Pre-Kindergarten:

What an adventure it is to climb, slide and swing on the play structures, to put on a play for our friends in the gazebo, to have a picnic in the tree house, and to build sandcastles in the wet sand! And in the winter, what fun it is to sled down the snowy slope!

Toddlers:

Toddlers walk on the balance beam, ride tricycles around the track, and explore down the slide and in the tunnel.

Infants:

Infants crawl on the covered outdoor carpeted patio, touch the plants and grass, and play peek-a-boo in the little climbing house.

Nature Trail

The Nature Trail located next to the Elementary School exemplifies North Wall’s philosophy of offering experimental learning in an enriched environment.

Conducive to the study of botany and wildlife, the Nature Trail features over 75 varieties of plants.  These plants are strategically located to attract birds, butterflies, and hummingbirds.  Each plant is labeled with a picture, its common name, scientific name and other characteristics. We can enjoy goldfish year round, and occasionally we receive visits from frogs, rabbits, turkeys, and other wildlife.

The children witness the life cycle of the chrysalis in the butterfly garden and the life cycle of the tadpole in the pond.

The entire trail has a 300 foot asphalt pathway for the enjoyment of all ages of children.

Year-Round Use

The four distinct seasons in Spokane offer students the opportunity to be active year-round in our beautiful outdoor environment!
